On our initial 30-minute call, I ask you to share what you want to get out of working with a financial advisor, a handful of your key numbers, and any looming concerns or goals you have with your finances.
What you share also helps me consider which Highline team members may be an excellent fit for your wealth management team if you choose to work with us. We have a wide range of specialties, and if you decide to work with our firm we build a custom team for you.
By the end of the first call, the goal is to understand if my team could be a good fit to help you with your financial planning and investing goals.
If we both agree and want to explore the relationship further, we set up a second meeting to go into deeper detail.
The call is conversational, relaxed, and focused 100% on seeing how my team could help you.
The more information you share when scheduling your call, the more helpful our initial meeting will be. The people who get the best results from our initial call come prepared with a few key numbers like:
A list of any financial goals or concerns you have is also very helpful to share with me on our call. If you do not have all of these items, we can still have a great call. Bring what you have, and I’ll review everything.
At Highline, all of our advisors are CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERS™.
The CFP® certification is the standard of excellence for financial planners and is hard to earn. Becoming a CFP® is challenging. Planners have to complete hundreds of hours of coursework, get years of industry experience, and have high ethical standards–all before passing a rigorous exam.
A number of our teammates also have other additional designations, such as Chart Financial Analysts (CFA), Certified Public Accountants (CPA), MBAs, JDs, and more.
We also have advisors and teammates with specialties like equity compensation, physicians, business owners, and retirees.
With 40 years of experience, you can trust our team has the resources and specialized expertise you need–no matter how complex your finances are.
Our team at Plancorp prides itself on its evidence-based investment philosophy.
Evidence-based investing does not try to predict the future or beat the market. Instead, we focus on factors you can control.
The biggest drivers of your success as an investor will be your asset allocation, diversification, investment costs, tax efficiency, and investor behavior.
